Investigating the Effect of Manager's Good Character on Staff's Organizational Citizenship Behavior (case study: Isfahan University)

Abstract:
One of the most important features for each organization in today's changing conditions is having individuals who wish to participate in the successful organization changes; namely showing organizational citizenship behaviors. In this study, the good character was considered as a factor influencing organizational citizenship behavior. The goal of this study was to investigate the effect of managers’ good character on staff’s organizational citizenship behaviors in Isfahan University. Statistical population was Isfahan University staff. Sample size was determined using Cochran's formula and Sampling was conducted randomly. Data collection tool was questionnaire including Organ questionnaire (1988) for evaluating organizational citizenship behaviors and a researcher-made questionnaire for evaluating good character. Structural equation model was applied to confirm research model; also for data analyzing, Amos18 and SPSS18 softwares were used. Results showed that managers’ good character has a positive impact on staff’s organizational citizenship behavior in Isfahan University.
