A survey of the impact of tertiary education on the development of the spirit of entrepreneurship

Abstract:
The main purpose of this survey is that how much the tertiary education has developed the spirit of entrepreneurship in the students of Mazandaran University. For this purpose, 335 M.A students were randomly and with respect to gender and faculty selected as participants. The required data were gathered through questionnaire and then analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that educational programs of university have contributed nothing to the development of entrepreneurship spirit in students. In the case of comparing the functions of educational programs in different faculties, the results of variance analysis show that no faculty has acted better or worse than the other faculties in the development of entrepreneurship spirit; and there has been no significant difference in the degree of entrepreneurship spirit of students in the 14 case faculties; also in the case of comparing the mean of entrepreneurship spirit in male and female students, the T-test result shows no significant relationship between gender and spirit of entrepreneurship.
