Comparison of parenting styles, self esteem and general health in delinquent and non delinquent adolescences

This research was carried out with the purpose of Study the comparison between parenting styles, self esteem and general health in delinquent and non delinquent adolescences. Population of this study was all male delinquent and non delinquents adolescences in kermanshah education center. 120 people were selected with goal oriented sampling method.The research instruments including parenting styles questioner, self esteem (Aysenk, 1976) & general health questioner (GHQ-28). Analyzing data through multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), showed that there is a significant differences between delinquent and non delinquents adolescences in general health, self esteem and parenting styles. Results indicate the importance of parenting styles and psychological variables (self esteem & general health) in delinquency.
