Deliberation on Iranian Social Sciences and Humanities Thinkers by Randall Collins's Theory1

In recent years there are lots of arguments about the lack of efficiency and fruitfulness of scientists and intellectuals of social sciences and humanities in Iran. With Randall Collins’s theoretical frame work on “Sociology of Philosophies” we made our attempts to ponder this issue in one of minors of social sciences in Iran. By considering on social and scientific biographies of eight great thinkers in “National Identity” we found despite of vast published texts, their works and ideas would not be perpetual and commendatory distinguished matters in the field of social thinking in Iran. Besides, we tried to dispute the idea of “infancy of Iranians’ sociology” or another one “sociology in transformation mood”, to find the real factors of unfruitful sociology in Iran.
