Necessary SOS fleets in urban highways (Case study: Tehran highway network)

Vehicular aided dispatch is one of the main parts of emergency management and leads to rapid reduction of incidents impacts. In literature, various parameters for deploying SOS forces and calculating the number of SOS fleets had been studies which includes: Accident statistics, Vehicle breakdown, Vehicular flow, volume to capacity ratio, air pollution, holidays and work zones, critical points, highway lengths and facilities which accidents and highway lengths are the most important among them. In this research, based on SOS conditions in different cities and taking into consideration the current statistics, the number of SOS vehicles in Tehran is estimated.
