Relationship between Organizational Commitment, Job Involvement and Task Performance among Academy Members

Abstract:
Aim
main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between organizational commitment، job involvement and task performance among faculty members.
Method
This study was conducted among 227 subjects who were selected through stratified convenience random sampling. Research method was descriptive correlational study and a set of questionnaires consisting of organizational commitment (Balfour & Wechsler)، job involvement (Edwardes & Killpatric)، and faculty members’ task performance (Mehdad) were used in current study. Data were analyzed with use of Pearson correlation coefficient and simultaneous regression analysis.
Results
the result showed that there are significant relationship between total organizational commitment، Furthermore، the results of the simultaneous regression analysis showed that the task performance is predictable through affiliation commitment (β= 0. 343، p≤0. 05). The results indicated that the level of task performance would be changed by organizational commitment and its dimensions.
