The identification of the obstacles of knowledge sharing in Shahed university

Nowadays, knowledge management is one of the important and main concepts in higher education. Knowledge sharing is one of the most important processes of knowledge management and has a significant role in the progress of scientific level of universities. Designing and the implementation of knowledge management processes face many obstacles in universities. The purpose of this paper is to identify the obstacles of knowledge sharing in Shahed University. These obstacles are investigated in three categories which are defined as individual, organizational and technical obstacles. The statistical population is composed of the staff, professors and the students of this university and descriptive statistics techniques are used to analyze the data. The weights of different factors are calculated using the entropy method and different obstacles are also compared using these weights. According to the results, organizational obstacles are identified as the main factors of knowledge sharing in this university and the managers should focus on this kind of factors to improve the status of knowledge sharing in this university.
