Spirituality, happiness and work environment

Abstract:
The present study aimed to assess the effect of spirituality on nurses working in happiness levels observed in their behavior is performed. This research is categorized in survey-type studies and is an applied form in terms of its goals and is descriptive in terms of the method of data collection. The statistical population is all nurses working in Qom public sector and resulted statistical sample is 146 individuals. The tool of data gathering is spirituality questionnaire at work that presented by Ashmos and Duchon and happiness questionnaire presented by the University of Oxford. Collected data were analyzed by Smirnof Kolmogorov test as well as One-sample T Test and Friedman test by SPSS software and confirmatory factor analysis test by LISREL software is used. The findings showed that spirituality components at work (work meaning, unity and oneness, adaptability with organizational values) and happiness of nurses are desirable. Also, results obtained from confirmatory factor analysis test showed that the component of spirituality at work directly affects on nurses happiness.
