Prioritizing information & communication technology's criteria for assessing the performance of universities & high education institutions in IRAN

Intense competition at the international level and the linkage between information networks makes it necessary to have knowledge about information technology in order to help organizations to be more productive. Therefore, organizations invest a large number of their resources in this area. Iran’s higher education system as an institution that is responsible for producing knowledge, should try to take advantage of this technology to improve its power. One of the ways is putting the information technology factor among other factors that affect the evaluation of universities performance. The main purpose of this research is to develop a comprehensive model for evaluating universities and higher education institutions. Despite of the multitude effective factors, in this research only the information and communication technology factor is discussed. At the beginning According to the theoretical literature, relevant indicators are extracted. Then the indicators were presented to the experts to identify which of them are more compliant with Iran's system of higher education. Finally, after data analysis, the proposed model of the researcher is presented.
