A Study of Relationship between the Preferences Valued System and Social Identity among Students

Abstract:
This research attempted to study the relationship between the preferences valued system and social identity among students of Islamic Azad University of Khorramabad Branch. This study included 10514 students(7029 boys and 3485 girls). Using Cochran formula (400) student were determined as sample and were selected by using proportional stratified sampling method. Data were gathered by 1) A questionnaire named social identity questionnaires and 2)A assessment scale of valued system. The validity of both instrument was verified by experts of social sciences and their reliability were assessed through using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α=0.85 and α=0.82). the data were analyzed employing Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. Result were showed that there was a positive significant correlation between individual, family, artistic, scientific, religious and national values and social identity. social identity and their aspects among students were in moderate limit. National religious, and family identity were in primacy of students. National, family, social, religious values were in the first rank on the point of view of the students.
