Spatial- Physical Analysis of Future development of Saqqez city with point on Smart Urban Growth Indicators by Entropy Shannon Model

Abstract:
Introduction
Solve the problem of urban areas disturbed pushed the urban planners to adopted new strategies including of smart urban growth that in it pointed on prevent the spread of the city and allocate space to the other land uses in the center of city. In order to، the aim of this paper is spatial- physical analysis of future development of Saqqez city using smart urban growth indicators and entropy Shannon model. In this regard، in first step used of current statistics to explain Saqqez population and vast in different statistical years and then was divided this increase rate with the total area of the case study region and by calculating the total vast to the made residential area was calculated the rate of (Pi). Finally by entropy rate formula was calculated its numerical value، with give the weight to the smart growth indicators from the perspective of citizens in framework of four physical development patterns was selected the optimal models for future development of Saqqez city. Questions: the research questions are: (1) Spatial Development of Saqqez city in the first plan was developed in accordance with the standards? (2) what is the distance between the spatial- physical development of Saqqez city in the current situation with regard to smart growth indicators and the ideal conditions there? Hypothesis: The research hypotheses are: (1) seems the development of Saqqez city in first was based on the physical- spatial dimensions and planning policy. (2) according to the smart urban growth Indicators there is a significant difference in Saqqez city Between the current situation and the desired spatial- physical development.
Methodology
The research methodology of this study is based on library، documental and field studies. We have used all related sources like books، E-papers and journals. Then we have done field study base on observations، questionnaires and interview. Then the data have been evaluated and analysis by entropy model، with relevant tables and diagrams. Finally، in order to understanding and present the research subject in index analysis، we have applied suggestions to obtain and offer the best approaches.
Results
The result showed that area of Saqqez city than 33. 7 ha in 1956 (one sector) has been increased to 1642. 342 ha (22 sectors) in 2012. Calculated entropy coefficient (2. 980) showed non- smart city development in a high level. Also among the four model frame، IV pattern (Made with two core pillars - Regional Center and community) was selected as the model for future development after the weighting (4 maximum and 1 minimum rating) with 81 points. Also in between 100% added lands to the Saqqez city only 56% was related to population growth and 44% was related to the horizontally expansion of city. Finally were presented necessary solutions including the revival of urban open spaces and eliminate the conflict area and etc.
