The study of the spiritual guide's appearance in mystical literature based on Molavi's Mathnavi

The feature of sage (elder) has special situation in Islamic mysticism. Mystical books have also more or less described the feature of sage and enumerate its importance and herein Hadiqeh Sana’i, Manteq –o- teir Attar, Mathnavi Maulana and Divan-e- Hafez have special role and importance. A deep look into the term “sage” and study his mystical personality and being in mystical literature at first, and then the writings of great poets and mystics, can evaluate the importance and effect of feature of the sage in each of above writings. It could be noticed that by creations of these writings, these prominents have eminent support in understanding of mystical circumstances and greets of major poets ulterior to mystical doctrines and mystical personal experiences. Review of feature of sage in these four writings would not be impotent in lighting some aspects of acts and manners of the sage and proper understanding of these words.
