A Study of Foreign Policy in Qaenat Emirate and the Relation of Its Representatives with the Local Governors during Qadjaria Period

Abstract:
Political situation of Qaenat caused the appearance of foreigners in this region. Ministry of Foreign Affairs established a representative office in Birjand from 1317 to the end of Qadjaria period to have the region under the control. This office had done lots of things during about two decades of its affairs, though always disfavored by the local governors who tied to make troubles to them. This paper is aimed to consider the whole appearance and duties of this representative, on one hand, and its consequences, on the other hand.
