Aim

The aim of this research was to evaluate the Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Anger Management Training on Treatment Adherence and Glycemic Control in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes.

Method

in a clinical cuasiexperimantal design of two group with pretest and post test from 200 diabetic Patients referred to a private clinic in Tehran city 28 patients with type2 diabetes were selected who had high score in state-trait anger expression scales(staxi2 in this study. the Patients were selected randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. the experimental group received 10 weekly Cognitive Behavioral Anger Management Training session each for 90 minutes. the maesurment instruments were Hba1c rate and Diabetes Self- Care Activities questionnaier and state-trait anger expression scales(staxi2) were used. Rsults: the rsults based on BeVariat Analsis of covariancen(ANCOVA) showed that Cognitive Behavioral Anger Management Training created a statistically significant increas in Diabetes Self- Care Activities and statistically significant decrease in the HbA1c rate.
