The place of proverb in Arabic literature

Proverb is one of the most beautiful rhetorical arts which makes delivering discourse close to the target and stabilizes meaning for the addressee. It has some features such as word briefness, suitable meaning,nice similie,fast circulation,ability to bring noticeable points closer to the reasonable ones and its acceptance by the public opinion.For this reason,this kind of innovative rhetorical art was spread about in Arabic literature and it became welll-known as Arabic wisdom and intellectual and literal heritage in the era of ignorance and Islam.The purpose of the proverbs is to inform people about good and bad result. Plenty of parable proverbs were spread about in the literature of different eras,particulary in the era of ignorance to demonstrate the vastexperience of the deceased in the form of brief words to its addressee.
