Securing Culture: Macro Strategies in Cultural Management

The present article entertains the concept of security in the field of cultural management. That is، first the concept of security is considered in two combined theoretical approaches، cultural and security. Then، the two approaches are combined in an analytical approach. At last the strategies of securing culture in Iran are discussed. In this regard identity is the main concept that is interwoven with securing culture because it is necessary for individuals to distinguish ourselves from others. This distinction can apply to differences between nations، ethnic، groups، etc. therefore; having secure feeling of identity is related to how the culture in general seems secure. This view of security stems from the management of culture in general and securing culture in particular. The present article provides a framework for studying securing culture by presenting strategies necessary in management of planning in cultural affairs
