Accessibility of The Medical Informatics Papers in The Web of Science Database Using Visible Web

Many scientific resources bel-onging to invisible web are inaccessible to the researchers. The purpose of this study was to explore the accessibility of the pa-pers of medical bioinformatics published in the web of science (WOS) database using visible web. To classify the medi-cal bioinformatics papers accessed via visi-ble and invisible web into two groups، ab-out 4143 papers were searched in the Web of Science and Google scholar databases. The Microsoft office Excel software was used to analyze the data. All the medical bioinformatics papers of WOS were accessible in the Goo-gle scholar databases. The majority of the papers were published in English. Number of the papers had an increasing trend. Discussion & The WOS data-base possesses a limited number of papers in the realm of medical bioinformatics all of which are accessible on the visible web.
