The Role of Transformational Leadership in Developing the Knowledge Management Practices of Knowledge-Based Police
In the knowledge based era, knowledge is considered as the most worthwhile asset of police organization. So, effective knowledge management (KM) has a vital role in sustaining competitive advantage and effectiveness of the organization. Successful implementation of KM in police organization requires appropriate context. As the performances of KM have mainly human- social characteristic, so transformational leadership has an influential role on effective KM practices (knowledge creation and knowledge sharing). The primary purpose of the research is identifying and description of the role of transformational leadership in facilitation of doing KM practices. The research method is descriptive and corelational. The population of the research consist the whole managers and personnel of The Police (NAJA) Research and Study Organization which have been selected as statistical sampling. Questionnaire has been used as a data gathering tool. According to the research findings, variables such as ideal influence, inspired motivation, mind persuasion and individual considerations have the great impact on effective KM practices in knowledge-based police.
