Recognizing the Religious Identity of Students to Have Fundamental Changes in Universities of Islamic Iran

The present research is intended to clarify the words and phrases like "identity"," religion"," university student", " student religious identity" and investigate the relationship between religious identity and university student identity through content comparison of Islamic theoretical fundamentals and university theoretical bases. The method of the research is documentary analyses. The results of the survey indicate that since the Islamic ideal religious university is not realized due to the differences between Islamic theoretical fundamentals and university western theoretical bases, therefore student religious identity is not also formed in present circumstances yet. The author of the paper concludes that the most portions in religious identity discussion are related to principles and fundamentals and behavioral changes require changing in this field. Fundamental changes in this field bring meaning to the words and phrases like university religious identity, professors and finally university student religious identity.
