Hermeneutics: A Look at the Sociology of Literature

Author(s):
Abstract:
With a sociological view of literature, one may consider the sources and origins of mystic literature to be in lyrical literature; it seems that mystics have turned love literature to a hermeneutic variety which portrays God in the figure of a lady. This process can be seen in the works of Abu Saeed Abulkhayr and other mystics.Ghazal, which is a typical type of lyric poetry, is realistic on the one hand and strongly idealistic on the other. Therefore, literature should not necessarily be the emotional reflection of the creator; the composer of a lyric poem should not be necessarily deemed to be a lover. Hence, literature is said to be created in its own structure, not as a refection of the creator's emotions. A literary work is a combination of body and message, form and literary content.
