A Comparative Study of Description in Manoochehri's Poetry and Torfat ibn al-Abd's Moallaqeh

The article studies the description of fields and mountains, wine and horses in Manoochehri's Book of Poems and Torfat ibn al-Abd's Moallaqeh. Manoochehri Damghani frequently refers to Arab poets in his works and mentions some of their senses. He refers to five composers of the ten known Moallaqehs (moallaqat). These references suggest that he is influenced by them.The present article aims to present a comparative study of descriptive topics in the two works. Various common topics are separately studied and compared, the similarities and differences are stated, the relevant lines of poems are mentioned, and the results are reported.
