Tehran Citizen's Viewpoints on Ideal Spouse Parameters

For surveying Tehran citizens’ viepoints on ideal spouse parameters and indeces, surveying research was applied by a structured questionnaire for 812 citizens of Tehran. Results showed that criteria such as age, religiosity, sociability, physical and mental health, sobriety, being employed, type of occupation, income rate, social position, relative relation, having the same religion, having the same race, social position of spous’s family, economic position of spous’s family, and religiosity of spous’s family were more important criteria. Among these parameters, physical and mental health, sociability, sobriety, and religiosity are most important ones. Beauty and education degree had average importance and they believed that having the same home city is not important in selection of spouse at all. Also, sex, activity type, marital status, and education degree had meaningful accordance with their sight on many or some of ideal spouse parameters.
