Investigating the success factors of teleworking; a case study at the organization for labor and social affairs

Ordinary job methods are rapidly being conflated due to technology variations. Internet and other technologies have provided such a facility that group works be organized disregarding the geographical borders. Developed due to the modern communication and information technologies, such a medium of distributed work has been known as "teleworking". This study aims at identifying and investigating the success factors of teleworking at the Organization for Labor and Social Affairs. The research is based on nine hypotheses examining three components of support, telecommunications and trust at three management, organizational and individual levels. Using survey-descriptive research method and inferential statistics, a sample consisting of 92 employees was analyzed. Using structural studies procedures, the results suggest that the variables of organizational and management support had no impact; however, other variables were effective. Finally, based on research findings, some suggestions were offered.
