How to Select Patients for Presentation at Morning Reports Meetings?

Morning report sessions are case-based educational conference. In the sessions patients are selected and presented. In the paper we explain the pattern in which the patients are selected and introduced in the sessions. In a medical unive-rsity of Tehran city، responsible persons for case selection and the method of case sel-ection for morning report sessions were evaluated in 25 departments of 5 academic hospitals. Faculty members and chief res-idents were responsible for case selection in 80% and 20%، respectively. In most of sessions (68%) interesting or chall-enging cases were presented. Discussion & In the studied medical university، faculty members were mostly responsible for case selection and the trend was toward challenging cases. Th-erefore، in order to improve educational cu-rriculum a right case selection procedure is necessary in the morning report sessions.
