The relation between personality traits with academic self efficacy

Abstract:
The main purpose of this research was to study the relation between personality traits with academic self efficacy. A Correlation method was used. Statistical population comprised all the first grade girl student of secondary school in Tehran city at (90-91) school year. Using random clustered sampling method and kerjcie and Morgan table about 384 student were selected as sample study. The data gathering instrument included NEO personality assessment standard scale, & MJIS academic self efficacy that the instruments validity &reliability were computed in previous research. In this research the questionnaire reliability also were computed using Cronbach Alpha equal to. /798,./868.The collected data were analyzed using descriptive indices such as percent, frequency, mean, standard deviation, variance and Pearson correlation coefficient and multi-varriate regression. Findings showed there was positive significant relationship between four personality components including extroversion,agreeableness, conscientious with self-efficacy but there was negative relation between neutrocism component with academic self –efficacy.
