The Philosophy of the prohibition of pork in the Qur an, Hadith and science

The consumption of pork (pig) has been clearly prohibited in four different verses of the Quran and thus the Muslims have always avoided eating the flesh of swine. However, pork is one of the top-selling products in the market of most countries. The current paper, after a brief introduction of the very animal and its related juridical issues, deals with those narratives that talk about the topic. Moreover, the writer would articulate on all the diseases and hazards the human would suffer due to consumption of pork. As such he has tried his best to collect and present the latest scientific achievements and findings in this respect as well.
