Estimation of Travel Demand in Road Transport by Using Vector Auto Regression

Today, the displacement is one of the main requirements that achieved the economic results. In economics science displacement is a set of services that have economic value and is considered that the part of the production is process. The transport of the economic necessities that require further attention and consideration. In this paper, the travel demand of transport using vector auto regression (VAR) is estimated during 1350-89. Vector auto regression models were used to estimate. Model estimation results shows that long-term demand for passenger road transport has the greatest effects on the growth rate of GDP. This means that If the rate of GDP %1 growth, the demand for road transport passenger %1.04 increases. The model shows that the price elasticity of demand for passenger transport 0.78. In other words, the price elasticity of demand for passenger road transport is inelastic. Also with 1 percent increase the main road Length, demand for road transport of passengers 0.3 percent will be increased.
