Analysis of Tourist Attractions of Southern Khorasan Province

In the twenty-first century, tourism industry is considered as a new approach for the development of the coexistence of man and society. The increasing significance of the tourism industry is due its widespread dimensions which encompass various fields ranging from politics and economics to issues of social, cultural, environmental. Many countries have launched close and intense competition to earn revenue and profits from development in this industry. They aim to provide job opportunities and income diversity for their nations. Iran with a long history, diverse climate and a long-lasting ancient culture of tribes and clans is appropriate for investment in the field of tourism industry. Southern Khorasan with its boundary position, historical background and several tourist attractions has a good position to attract tourists. This paper using descriptive- analytical method based on library studies tries to recognize Southern Khorasan tourist attractions and in the meantime it aims to present solutions to improve tourism industry and increase the advent of tourists to the province. Studies show that Southern Kharasan as a relic of the past great Khorasan benefits from several marginal, religious, natural, historical etc. attractions that a systematic and targeted planning and an appropriate investment can make this place to an important zone in tourism.
