Comparative study of some biochemical parameters of Ross hybrid healthy broiler chickens (308, industrial) and native chickens in the Kazeroon area

Fifty healthy broiler chickens of Ross hybrid healthy breed (308, industrial) and fifty native chickens aged 45 days were venupunctured. The concentration of serum total protein, albumin, uric acid, aspartate amino transferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), triglyceride and cholesterol were measured. In the present study the normal values of the abovementioned parameters was determined. Breed affected some biochemical parameters of the chickens but not other biochemical parameters. The concentration of triglyceride, cholesterol, albumin, AST and ALT were significantly different in the Ross hybrid broiler and native chickens (P<0.05), but the concentration of uric acid, total protein and ALP were not significantly different in the Ross hybrid broiler and native chickens (P>0.05).
