A survey of renal lesions of cattle in Fars industrial meat complex slaughterhouse; pathological and bacteriological findings

One thousands and three hundreds kidney cases of slaughtered cattle in Fars meat industrial complex, Shiraz, have been studied in 2007. The rejection rate was 9.8% and its most current reason was interstitial nephritis (%31.5). Other lesions respectively include: tubular dilatation %17.1, glomerular atrophy %14.4, acute tubular necrosis %10.5, abcesses %6.6, cysts %5.3, mononuclear glomerulonephritis %3.9, hyperamia %2.6, infarcts, glomerulosclerosis, fibrosis and hyalin casts, hemorrage, granolomatouse nephritis, and mild glomerular necrosis, each one %1.3. In conclusion, olbeit infection rate decreased in understaudied region in comparison with last years but still renal lesions lead to economical losses because of kidney rejection (nearly %9).
