Causes of Perversion according to Quran and Traditions

The emergence of and increase in sexual perversion is considered to be one of the most important cause of destruction and decline of every human society. Therefore, investigating the causes of threat is highly important as it plays a crucial role in preventing perversion.In this study, the factors leading to appearance of perversion in society have been studied with reliance on verses of the Holy Quran and narrations of the Ahlu-Bayt (A.S). Hence, first the concept of perversion or sexual deviation has been meticulously examined followed by an analysis on the manifestations, causes and roots of perversion from the perspective of the Quran. Amongst the factors contributing to perversion, one can mention excessive sexual freedom, unhealthy extra-marital relationships and woman's negligence of her duty to be available for her husband and to submit herself to him for sexual intercourse.
