Investigating the relation between "Parent's level of religiosity" and "their violent behavior towards their children"

This study aimed at investigating the relation between "parent's level of religiosity" and "their violent behavior towards their children" which was conducted in Shiraz applying measurement approach. To conduct this research, 384 members were chosen among high school students and their parents applying Kokran formula cluster sampling. The mediums of research were "The Measure of Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ, (Bernstein, 1995)" and "The Measure of Gelak and Stark taken from Seraj Zadeh, 1377". The result clearly proved a remarkable relationship between parent's level of religiosity and their violent behavior towards children. It was also proved that there is noteworthy negative correlation between "belief and emotional aspect of religiosity" and "parent's violent behavior towards children", but there is no relation between "ritualistic and consequential aspect of religiosity" and " parent's violent behavior towards children".
