The Parent's Influence on the Children's Religiosity from the View of Psychology of Religion

The objective of present study is to discover the ways and quality of the parent's influence on the children's religiosity from the view of psychology of religion. In this study, some different researches conducted by psychologists of religion on this subject were considered and the various ways of parent's influence on the children's religiosity were classified. The findings showed that the most important factor in the formation and extent of the children's religiosity is the parents. The parents form their children's religiosity in different ways and conditions. There are some factors which affect the formation of the children's religiosity including the parent's religiosity, giving importance to the religious customs by the parents, the relationship of the parents with each other and also with their children, taking into consideration the children's needs, the style of parenting, and the amount of the parent's interest to their children.
