Critical on Content of Medical Ethics Curriculum from the Perspective of Medical Ethics Experts: A Qualitative Study

Abstract:
Medical ethics curriculum was a challenging and important subject and required thinking and research in the different dimensions. So, this study is done with the aim of recognizing the existing weaknesses in the content of medical ethics curriculum. For this purpose interviewed with medical ethics instructors and explained their experiences in this field. This study is a qualitative research which its data gathered from semi-structural interview with 14 instructors of Tehran's medical science university in 1389 and analyzed by Mayring content analyzing approach. Results of this research introduced as 2 contents: disproportion of content and weakness in organizing of content which everyone consist of several secondary classes which describing specific aspect of existing challenges in the contents of medical ethics curriculum. Examination and comparison the findings of this research with the results of other researches, indicating of this matter that proposed challenges in this study must consider seriously for developing of country 's medical ethics promotion.
