A Study of the Validity of the Hadith

One of the effective events of the second century inIslamichistory is the uprising of Mohammad IbnAbdollahIbn Hassan Al-Muthanna (100 – 145)، a grandchild of Imam Hassan، the second Imam of Shi''ites. He started his acts for taking the caliphate of Islamic regions in the latest years of the Ommiad period. He was one of most important candidates for the caliphate. He continued his efforts even after the Abbasids took the caliphate. He had characteristics some of which are as follow: a descendant of Holy Prophet،pious، devotee، and knower of Islamic jurisprudenceand hadith. These have persuaded his followers to declare he is in fact the Promised Mahdiso that they could acquire the support of Muslim mass. There are evidences regarding forgery of some narrations related to Messiah by his followers. One of these narrations is attributed to the Prophet according to which «Mahdi has speech impediment». In this article، this attribution is rejected، and it is proved that the narration in question has been forged by the followers of Muhammad Ibn Abdullah.
