The Relation between Locus of Control and Self-Esteem among Female Students of NAJA

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between locus of control and self-esteem among female students of Police University. For this purpose، in this correlation study، 96 female students of Police University were selected by available sampling method and they answered to questionnaires of Nowicki and Strickland (1973) locus of control and self-esteem of Cooper Smith (1968). Data analysis by using the Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there is a significant negative relationship between locus of control with whole self-esteem، social self-esteem and educational self-esteem (p<0. 05). In addition، univariate regression showed that the locus of control can predict significant self-esteem negatively، at the level of p< 0. 05.
