The Similarity in the Writing Style of Akhlagh-e Naseri and Mesbah al-Hedaya and Meftah al-Kefaya

The book Akhlagh-e Naseri by Khajeh Nasir Toosi is usually considered to be the translation of the book Tahzib al-Akhlagh by Ibn Moskuyeh Razi. Similarly, the book Mesbah al-Hedaya and Meftah al-Kefaya by is a translation of the book Avaref al-Ma’aref by Sheikh Shahab al-Din Sohrevardi. Jalal al-Din Homayi, in his preface to Mesbah al-Hedaya states that Ezz a-Din Mahmoud seems to have used Khajeh’s statements in the preface and the writing style of his book. In his translation of Avaref, he adapted Khajeh’s method in the translation of al-Tahara. Because of this, the author of the present article decided to study the two books more accurately. The present article tries to study the similarities between these two works in translation and writing.
