Necessities and Performances of Knowledge Management in Cultural Organizations
Nowadays, knowledge and information have become a determining factor in success and the potential for competibity of organizations, and knowledge management is one of the last organizational issues in management science. Especially, after notifying the general policies of administration system by the Supreme Leader in March 2010 and Armed forces’ Headquarters, notification concerning knowledge management, and growing emphasis of the government on establishment of knowledge – based society and giving priority to knowledge – oriented economies in the 20 – year outlook and the forth and fifth development plans, the important issue is the manner of using knowledge as an important competitive advantage. In line with this, many organizations have concentrated their efforts on the manner of knowledge management in their organizations. Knowledge management has a lot of advantages for organizations, chief among them are business quality improvement, access to updated information, efficiency enhancement, effectiveness improvement, decision – making improvement, enhancement of the potential to be responsible toward the clients’ needs, enhancement of the potential to meet the country’s basic and development needs, possibility of change and rapid adjustability. In line with this, and with respect to the importance of knowledge in cultural organizations, while briefly reviewing the theoretical literature of knowledge management and expressing the importance in cultunal organizations and taking into consideration all the elements contributing to knowledge management in cultural organizations were reviewed. Finally, some recommendations are offered for implemeatation of knowledge management in IRI police Aghidati Siyasi Organization.
