Abstract:
Manhood and womanhood as two identities have been studied and analyzed secondarily in different philosophical approaches. Each of these analyses leads to a theory of family reinforcement. In this paper, gender exclusively examined according to the fundamentals of Islamic Philosophy in order to contribute to a theorization of family reinforcement. Also, different aspects of reinforcement are elaborated through Mulla Sadra’s intellectual-realistic school of thought, and the idea that human is gendered in its plant and animal levels while being ultra-gendered in its humanistic one is offered. Therefore, if we should reinforce man-woman relationship in family, we must inevitably pay attention to Monotheistic culture so that inasmuch as human being gets nearer to the most supreme level of humanity (qāb-a qawsain-i aw adnā), man-woman relationship gets tighter.
