Challenges, Obstacles and Proposed Solutions to the Textile and Leather Industries in Iran

The main problem that has existed from the beginning man''s creating is human unlimited needs and limited resources in order to resolve that. Because of limited resources، it is not possible to invest in all industries and subdivisions in a same way and therefore investment priorities is discussed. Sustainable development is one of the main goals of many countries and the development is based on the conservation and efficient use of all existing resources and the textile industry stakeholders can easily create required infrastructures. In the present study، with considering the potential in textile industry for sustainable development، the challenges facing the textile and leather industries have been identified using news and media content analysis during the period 1390-1391. For this purpose، the contents regarding textile industry provided by managers in public and private sectors، textile experts and well-known clear-sighted individuals with at least 5 continuous years of experience were gathered from reputable news sites. The extracted contents were coded based on the operational definition of variables. Finally، based on the abundance of repeat and emphasize on these coded vocabularies، their importance was determined. The results showed that marketing capabilities and industry value are among the most important internal criterion and competition، market structure، government and rules are among the most important external criterion for textile industry.
