The study of relationship between job stress with organizational commitment among schools principals

The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between job stress with organizational commitment among guidance school principals. The method of research was correlation. The statistical population included all guidance school principals of Hamadan city that their number was about 115 person. Using ratio stratified random sampling method about 92 selected as statistical sample. The data gathering instrument were Spillberger job stress and Allen and Mayer organizational commitment standard questionnaire the reliability using Cronbach's alpha coefficient was estimated to be. /89 and. /78 and the statistical methods were one sample t test, one way Anova, pearson correlation coefficient and simple regression. Findings showed that the principals job stress rate was over average and the rate of principals organizational commitment was average. There was significant negative relation between job stress with organizational commitment and its component. In addition the simple regression analysis showed that job stress is a strongly predictor factor for organizational commitment. There were no significant differences between principals job stress and organizational commitment according to their sex, age and academic degree.
