The relationship between spiritual experience and its components with resiliency in students of Razi University(2013)

Background and The aim of present study investigated the relationship between spiritual experience and its components with resiliency in students of Razi University in 2013-2014 year. The study is descriptive and co relational, Statistical population was all Razi University students in the year2013-2014. T he sample were 200 students who were selected by cluster sampling method. Measurement tools included; spiritual experiences questionnaire of Ghobari’s et al (2005) and Conner & Davidson questionnaire(2003), and also demographic information of students. For analysis of data, in addition to descriptive statistics (such as mean & standard deviation,…), from inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation and stepwise regression analysis was used. Used software was SPSS-18. The results showed that spiritual experiences and its components with resiliency had significant positive correlation. Among the components of spiritual experience: finding meaning in life, social-religious activities, and mystical experiences could predicted variance of resiliency. In fact, those who had more spiritual experiences and more spiritual, they have more endure against hardships and difficulties of life.
