A survey on ectoparvasit in freshwater and warm water culture fishes in Mazandaran province

In the present study، 240 samples from freshwater culture in spring and winter، also 380 samples from warmwater cultures in spring and summer were prepared from different cities in Mazandaran province for study on ectoparasites. Resulte showed that the highest rate of the infection in freshwater culture was related to Ichtiophithirius multifiliis (27. 85%) in summer. Total rate of the infection of fishes in freshwater cultures to ectoparasites was 17. 5%. But this rate in warmwater cultures was 45%. The highest rate of the infection in above-mentioned fishes was related to Lernea cyprinicea (10. 96%). Totally، the infection rate to ectoparasites in fish cultures of Mazandaran province was 34. 35%. So، with regard to presence of ectoparasites in these cultures، they should be controled by management methods، physical and chemical treatments.
