Survey of Contributory Factors of Client's Satisfaction in Emergency Services of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti University Medical Science's Selected Hospitals

At recent years، there was the salient consideration into hospital emergency services. The aim of this study was analyzing contributory factors of clients'' satisfaction in emergency services of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti University Medical Sciences'' selected hospitals. It was a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study. The statistical population was clients of emergency departments of selected hospitals. The sample size was calculated 768. 6 hospitals were selected from each university. It included 3 general and 3 specialized hospitals. The instrument was the questionnaire that preparing in 54 questions in 2 sections. Reliability and validity were confirmed by professors and 50-sample pilot study، respectively. The alpha-cronbach was calculated 0. 87. It was analyzed by independent sample t-test، simple linear regression and linear multi-regression. The demographic characteristics of attendants were as follows: 57. 3% women، 56. 8% older than 45، 63. 1% covered by social insurance، 92. 7% urban، 56% married، 58. 7% lower than high school and 68. 4% covered by coinsurance. The payment by clients was higher at Shahid Beheshti University. The most of payments was the mixture of out-of-pocket and insurance. The clients'' satisfaction was higher in admission، guardian، physicians، nursing cadre and environment-services at Tehran university. It was higher in management at Shahid Beheshti university.. Collecting data in the field of patients'' evaluation of services'' quality or accessible medical facilities could would induce to recognizing upgradeable areas health providing system.
