Personality Disorders of Cluster C (Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive): Predictive Role of Religious Orientation and Personality Traits
Religious orientation and personality traits influences the many dimensions of human. The aim of this study was the study the role of Religious orientation and personality traits in Prediction of Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive Personality Disorders.
For this purpose 290 student from AzarbaijanShahidMadani University selected by stratified sampling and assessed by MCMI-III, NEO-FFI, Religious Orientation Scale (ROS) instruments. Data analyzed by multiple regression.
The results showed that religious disorganization was correlated with personality disorders and predicted the symptoms of Avoidant, Dependent and Obsessive personality disorders. Alsoagreeableness, and neuroticism was correlated with personality disorders and predicted the symptoms of personality disorders.
Religious orientation and personality traits are the influential factors in personality disorders, and can predict the symptoms of personality disorders.
