Scientific Production of National Research Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (Dr M. Daneshvari Hospital) during 2009-mid 2012

In order to provide applicable evidences for research policymakers of National Research Institute of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (NRITLD), Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, this study aimed to assess the scientific productions of this institute in Scopus and ISI databases during 2009 to mid-2012.Through a descriptive study, all recruited faculty members of NRITLD (Dr M Daneshvari Hospital) were assessed in terms of scientific productions and H-index in Scopus and ISI databases from 2009 to mid-2012. Data were analyzed and means of total articles, articles in the last 3.5 years (divided by years) and H-index in Scopus and ISI were presented. Using analysis of variance, total articles were compared between scientific ranks.The means (Standard Deviation) of total articles in Scopus during the years of 2009, 2010 and 2011 were 3.7 (5.3), 3.3 (5.6) and 3.3 (5.3) per faculty member respectively. These numbers were 2.5 (3.9), 1.7 (3.1) and 2.1 (3.8) for ISI, too. Also, the means for H-index in Scopus was 2.9 (3.3), while for ISI it was 2.4 (2.7).
