The Investigation of the Individual Factors Affecting People's Missing (Case Study: Ahvaz)

Abstract:
Background And Objective
people’s missing is one of the social damages of today’s communities that pave the way for the crimes such as kidnapping, human smuggling, sexual abusement, ect. for the opportunitists. The present study has been conducted aiming at investigating the effective individual factors on peoples’ missing in Ahvaz.
Methodology
this study has been conducted using a survey method and avalid and reliable questionnaire (α=.97). The sample population includes all of the 344 missing persons in Ahvaz Metropolis in 2010. 157 persons were randomly selected as the study’s sample. The obtained data were analyzed via SPSS software using Binominal and Chi-squared tests. Findings and
Results
the obtained results indicated that: there was a significant relationship between the background variables (sex, age, and marital status), education, economic base, relative deprivation and the missing phenomenon. In addition, high school teeanagers were more subjected to this phenomenon than the others, girls more than boys, and singles more than married people.
