An Experimental Study on the Effects of Component Concentration and Processing Parameters on Tensile Properties of Injection Molded Composite Based on Recycled Waste Rubber/Polyethylene
Author(s):
Abstract:
In this research, the effect of the weights of raw materials, melt temperature and injection pressure was experimentally investigated on the tensile strength of the blends samples of polyethylene- powder recycled Tire injection molding. Samples with different percentages of each component in the presence of 3 % of maleic anhydride coupling link and the melt temperature of 210, 200, 190°C and 400, 500, 600 bar injection pressure was prepared. And tensile tests were performed according to ASTM D-638. The results show that by increasing the amount of powdered rubber Polyethylene decreased tensile strength, increased temperature and reduced pressure injection minor impact strength and its value increases little.
