The impact of economic sanctions on employment in Iran

Economic sanctions has had adverse effects of the parameters of business environment in Iran. The paper uses OLS to study the trends of employment in the country for the period 1358-1391. The effects of unilateral and multilateral sanctions are observed in the model using two dummy variables. It is shown that there is a negative correlation between unilateral sanctions and the change in the level of employment, whereas multilateral sanctions did not have any significant effect on the employment of the country.
