Application of Geomorphic Factors in Locating the Landfill (Case Study: Dehdez City, Izeh, Iran)

In the recent decades, Population growth and urbanization are causing Difficulties of social, economic and environmental, Such as the production of municipal solid waste and disposal have followed its principles.Now a day the disposal, location and proper management of solid waste sites as the city has become one of the environmental problems. So finding a suitable location for this important primary goal of urban development plans to achieve sustainable development.The aim of this study was to finding a suitable location city landfill Dehdez using information layer parameters, such as, land use, topography, layers of slope, Direction of slope, precipitation layer, waterways layer, fault, sensitive geological layers against erosion, away from the city and away from crowded villages through AHP model and GIS techniques are used.AHP is one of the most effective techniques is designed for decision-making with multiple criteria.
